Signs from Angels

Dear Brayden, On one side of our house, there are a lot of trees and the sun hardly peeks through. Since nothing can really grow there, not even grass, we have never planted anything next to the house. A few weeks ago you and I were watching daddy put up Christmas lights when I noticed something pink. I went to look at a little plant on the side of the house (between your bedroom window and ours! and there was the most beautiful pink rose! How did that get there??? And why is it blooming in December??? Clearly it was your little sister saying hello :-)

Playing catch up

Dear Brayden, I am sorry I have neglected your blog. This past year was absolutely crazy! Here is a a quick rundown- -You started special needs preschool on March 27 and loved it! Mommy cried all day. -You went to a "typical" preschool over the summer to see if it would help with your speech. We did see some improvement and it kept you from being bored all summer! -During June and July, we did a process called IVF/PGD so that we could try to give you a sibling. We had a little girl embryo but she tested positive for Fragile X and was not in good shape. Sadly that ended our baby journey. Mommy was very sad but I am so grateful to have you, my sweet little man, in my life. -You started back to your special needs school in September. You have a new teacher (with the same assistant as last year) and you love them both so much! You are doing great in school and our first parent/teacher conference went well! -You started music and feeding therapy over the summer. You great in both but especially LOVE Music therapy! I think this is what got you started talking! -You have started talking!!!!! You said "Hi mommy!" one day and my heart just melted. Now you can say a few sentences and love to sing songs. Hearing you chatter is the best sound in the whole world!! -You went to the beach for the first time in September and had the time of your life! I think you could have stayed forever.... -Christmas was fun this year. I know that you still don't get the whole concept so we didn't wrap your toys and just had them sitting out in the living room for you. You were so excited and didn't know where to look first! Brayden, I could not have imagined that you would have come so far in just one year. You make mommy so proud everyday! I love you! Here are some pics from 2012- First day of school!
