Dear my non-sleepy little man,

For several weeks, ever since we switched you to your toddler bed, you have refused to nap. It seems that the temptation to immediately climb back out is too much for you.Okay fine. This just means you'll go to bed earlier! Well, that theory worked for awhile. This past week you have refused to go to bed at all! We do the exact same bedtime routine that we have being doing for months and has worked perfectly, except that as soon as we leave your room, you bolt. And to make it even more difficult, you scurry out doing your adorable little giggle. Apparently you think that you are Houdini since you climb out of your bed and open your door. A few times (ie: almost every night) we have broken that "parent rule" of how we handle you getting out of bed. After putting you back to bed for the umpteenth time and midnight quickly approaching, we will either put you in our bed or let you sit with daddy on the couch until you fall asleep. Hey, desperate times call for desperate measures! You have always loved bedtime and it has been way too easy up until now. I am at a loss as to what to do now. All I know is that mommy and daddy are exhausted.
Love you silly man!

The first meeting

Hi sweet boy!
In two days we will have your first meeting with the school system to get you into preschool. I think it is just a bunch of paperwork that I have to sign, but still, it is so real now that I am sending you to school! I'm still so scared and nervous since you can't talk (yet!) I think you will love it but I know that if you cry I will not be able to leave you!
You have recently learned something that is very age appropriate and makes mommy so proud! Most parents might be disgusted by it but I am proud. When your nose is running you use your sleeve to wipe it off! Haha! I know that's a weird thing to be proud of but you used to just leave it there like you weren't even aware! This way, you are solving your own problem! Good job buddy! :-)
You have gotten very good at playing skee ball on your iPad. Way better than mommy!
Last night, you helped me make your smoothie too. I would give you pieces of banana and you dropped them in. You also like to unscrew the lid and help put the magic bullet into place. Smart boy!
Mommy is so, so proud of you Brayden!
I love you!
